General Mental Health Support

There are many reasons someone may decide to seek therapy. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, shame, stress, or relationship struggles. Or perhaps you are wanting to simply invest in yourself and improve communication or assertiveness. Let’s define your values and goals and see how therapy can help.

PTSD TREATMENT

Trauma can include experiences such as childhood abuse, sexual assault, combat, accidents, domestic violence, and unexpected or violent losses. Some individuals who experience trauma may develop Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PTSD symptoms include upsetting, intrusive thoughts, nightmares, persistent anxiety or sadness, insomnia, trouble trusting oneself or others, relationship difficulties, and many other reactions. If this describes you, know that resilience is possible. You are NOT weak or damaged. Rather, you may not have had the time, opportunity, or correct tools to adequately process the difficulties. I have expertise in treating trauma-related concerns and provide the top evidence-based PTSD treatments, including Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

FAITH-BASED THERAPY

If you want to work with a Christian provider and incorporate your faith into treatment, you’ve come to the right place. For those desiring to do so, we can draw upon your faith and beliefs and integrate these with evidence-based techniques to support your mental health, well-being, and to draw you closer to God.

Evidence-Based Therapy approaches

I take a trauma-informed approach to therapy, and work from a strengths-based perspective. I strive to create a supportive, warm, and nonjudgmental environment to facilitate acceptance and change.
